Lovely dogs David! They are just great!

Thank you for your comment on 2 of my photos , I don't really know what breed it is . These are street dogs which you can see all over Persian gulf . It was early morning and I was shooting the birds with my 500 mm and suddenly this dog came in my frame and the light was just perfect and I took 4 frames and posted 2 of them to P.N. I think it can be a mixture of Afghan and some other breed.

Best regards Sadegh

You have many excellent photos of your dogs. This one seems a bit too close or I have difficulty determining the perspective. Also I can't make out what that brown area is between the two, distracting me from the rest of the photo. Maybe it would help if the shot was from a lower vantage point, or if you brought the center closer (add barrel distortion). Hope that helps.

Thanks Sadegh - I can see the Afgan breeding in your shot - beautiful dog.

Kevin - thanks fro the critique. What you're seeing is a blanket between the 2 dogs. I would agree it doesn't help the photo at all. Not sure what you mean by your perspective issue - I did want to fill the frame with the dogs, they are lying side by side on a couch.

Appreciate your visit!

I like the framing in this shot. Now that I know that the dogs are on a couch, the matching "wall and floor" makes sense.

What I mean about perspective is that when I first look I have difficulty determining the lay of things. My mind wants to visualize what I'm seeing in 3D, and it is difficult for me to determine the dimensions I'm seeing and from what angle the photographer is viewing it -- if that makes sense.

Here's the image with fisheye distortion adjustment. Please note that I didn't remove your signature; it got cropped off by the adjustment.http://talonthorn.com/image3.jpg

Thanks for the explanation Kevin. I'm afraid I'm not seeing much improvement in your version though, it is so close to the original. I do think the tighter crop on the right is called for.

I appreciate your time and comments!
