photo by patsy dunn 1 Posted December 22, 2009 Paul Wow...I love it. That's the kind of snow I would loke to have for Christmas. I guess I can dream. Happy Holidays, Patsy Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted December 22, 2009 This is a good image that could be a great one were the tree not so close to the center of the frame. By placing it on the right vertical third, it would create more interest. The snow covered fence is a great leading line, especially from the left because of the little bend in it. A slight change in camera position would have really improved this image noticeably. Link to comment

lonebearimages 0 Posted December 29, 2009 Beautiful winter image. Well seen and captured. While the 'Rule of Thirds' is not a hard-and-fast rule; I do think, in this instance, that Scott's proposed revision has merit and strengthens the composition. Also, I think his slight white balance adjustment is an improvement as well. Note that it has removed the slight bluish cast from the snow in the FG. Typically snow 'fakes' out the camera's auto white balance setting. Keep shooting, Paul; you're turning out some good images; and Happy New Year to You and Yours! Cheers! Chris Link to comment
