Thanks for the vote of confidence. And, Grandfather's bias here, I agree with your assessment; adorable. Stay tuned for additional documentation of her progress. You can be sure I'll be taking more shots of her. In the next set she'll probably have teeth. Best of the New Year to you. LM.

This is a good one Len, I like the light and the color.

Her pose works well with her expression, all good timing and or planing, sometimes both.

I would give about 1/16 more both sides, but you know me and cropping.

Cheers friend! ....

Good point on the crop. The reason for it is that, to maintain an 8x10 aspect ratio (the size I intend to print), would make for an unacceptable additional area over her head (already a tad too much in my opinion). It all began by my placing her too far in front of a roll of white paper background which left me little wiggle room, left or right. (store that info for the next shoot). So, we are in agreement about the close crop, it's not just you. Best, LM.

How do you handle 'infant' shots? My ears\eyes are open to

suggestions which would produce superior results though I'm happy

with this one. Best, LM.

I like the pastel color palette and the catch lights in her eyes are great. I'm going to be a little critical of the pose, though, which feels a bit strained for a baby. I do love many looking-back-over-the-shoulder photos but they're best when they either seem natural or very dramatic. In this case, it feels a bit out of place to me, though I think it's great to try a lot of different positions, gestures, etc. Seeing this kind of dress from the back gives it a slight tent-like quality which, even to a baby, is a little unflattering.

Again you've touched on some unnoticed technical issues which will be considered in any future sittings that may come my way.  The dress was her mother's when she was this age so we were attempting to give it some prominence, in retrospect perhaps, more than was warranted.  It's not one I've elected to print so that should tell you something.  I offer another from the same sitting for variety.  Best, LM.
