kartik 0 Posted December 21, 2009 This is an available-light portrait of the late Ustad Ali Akbar Khan, the famous sarod maestro and Indian classical music teacher.The picture was taken at the Ali Akbar College of Music (AACM) in San Rafael, California, on Guru Poornima day, July 8, 2001.The original photograph was taken on Kodak TMZ-3200, rated at ISO 1000, exposed for 1/30 second at f/3.5 This picture was scanned from a print and levels were adjusted in Photoshop CS2. kartik 0 Posted December 30, 2009 Meir: Thanks for your comments. I agree that the soft focus (and grain) are problematic. This portrait was made under rather difficult circumstances, and I am just glad that I managed to get an image of the maestro in his lifetime. Link to comment
