a splash of colour

earlier I rejected this shot because the chunk of ice seemed

distracting... after looking at it again, I figured it was worth another

chance.

I like this shot, the ice doesn't bother me. Congrats!

Personally I find the water reflections a little distracting. Short of a polarizer though which would have slowed down the shot and added I doubted you could have done too much. A touch of catch-light in the eye would also make it look a touch more lively. Finally I'd trim the right side to keep the Plover to keep it out of dead center.

that is hilarious feedback! the whole point of this photo is the reflection of the bird that brings out just the brightly coloured rocks, in an almost surreal manner.
