...good shot Len - I love the studied intensity of the turbo driver here and I sense we might be checking more of him come Christmas morning...

There's some serious contemplation going on here, and you've caught it well. It's great at this age when they haven't worked out what a camera is all about. I'm up to the stage where they want to look at the back to see how they came out.

I was shooting film the other day & the same grandchild came over & wanted to look at the back of the camera to see the image I just captured. :-) Sign of the times! Best, LM.

No doubt! Then this previous Christmas leftover will probably get the deep six. But at least Christmas will provide me with some new camera fodder. Stay tuned. Best, LM.

I 'm so familiar with this king of observation/involvement....and it is a great sight to look and see how they check and master quite fast what it is all about...Your timing is as should be, as he is so busy in understanding what is going on here....I like the B/W conversion and the diagonal framing.

My best wishes for the season festivities.Grandma.....;-))

Thanks for your observations. He usually turns his back to me when I have a camera to my eye but this time I caught him unawares. Kids get tired of having a camera poked in their faces all the time. Same as celebrities at the hands of the paparazzi I guess. B&W is most times my favourite mode for portraits of people, formal or candid. Meir Samel & some others comes to mind. :-) Best for this festive season. LM.

Nice to hear from you. Yah, he was really engrossed in his work. Not too often I can catch him unawares. Luck is good! Best, LM.

Thanks for your most welcome visit. This B&W version is favoured by me over the original colour version. I find that for people photos I most often prefer B&W. I think that's because I grew up in the era in which Karsh was (still is?) the B&W portrait king and in which the people images in Life magazine were mostly B&W. Best, LM.
