Yeah, I had a difficult time trying to decide which category to place this in. I wish there were more categories, but I'm not going to stir that pot. Thanks for commenting on my 2 recent submissions.

In addition to a lovely composition, I'm impressed by the beauty of all the shades of pink going from the foreground, to the background, to the sky with those delicate clouds. Nicely done indeed!

Christal, this is quite a lovely scene. I like the horizontal linearity in the water and how that theme repeats on the beach and in the sky. The dark band of sand at the bottom of the frame does a nice job of anchoring the scene and giving it a grounded feel.

 

The birds watching the proceedings somehow add to the humour suggested by your title, I'm not sure why but they do.

There is a time of day----not quite daylight, not quite dark---when the colors are magic and hypnotic. This is such a shot. Wonderful pastels and the silhouettes provide the perfect focal point. Nice work. Happy holidays. ~~~~~~~~~~~L
