Great shot, Amigo! I bet I am hidden behind one of those dunes too! I love the composition with the arc of the sky and the inverted arc of the top of the dune; very complementary. Lovely soft, warm lighting conditions, and terrific details! Well done, Brother! Cheers! Chris

Sure looks like you got the most out of the dunes this trip! This series from DVNP has been one of your best ones. The texture in the sand on this shot is super. This goes to show you. You don't have to climb a 10 story dunes to get a great shot!!

This was taken about a 1/2 hour before sunset and already the

yellowish light was evident. What struck me about this dune was it's

soft flowing waves of sand that all met at the sharp edge. I do love

photographing the dunes, the wandering in search of just that right

composition and then positioning yourself in just the angle. As I walk

away in search of my next image I am filled with joy of creativity and

satisfaction.

How come there are no footprints all over these dunes? All of my shots have footprints all over 'em (well, little kangaroo rat and beetle footprints, that is). ;-) Cheers! The Bear
