gunnar1664882369 1 Posted December 16, 2009 Very well done! Impressive work with shadows and details. There is even difficult to understand what is reflected and what is not, there is so good harmonization and synergy of details. Great work! Regards. Link to comment
Christal1664882414 0 Posted December 16, 2009 Well, you have given us a puzzler for the morning. I just asked my husband what he thought about this photo, and we spent some time trying to decipher what we were seeing here. I suppose that is exactly what you wanted the viewer to experience. It's quite thought provoking, Pnina, but I must say I'm having difficulty understanding what I'm seeing. But maybe that's okay. :-) Very nice experiment, and I suppose you've started a new series of similar images based on this idea. Let me take this opportunity to wish you on the other side of the world a wonderful holiday season and Happy New Year! Link to comment

3m 0 Posted December 16, 2009 Very interesting picture, Pnina! -- It is hard to figure it out :) I love how the woman's reflection falls so beautifully within the window frame of the car. (A guess: It looks like a big billboard reflection on a (parked) car...?) Very nice! Kind regards, Marjolein Link to comment
lizweisiger 0 Posted December 16, 2009 Very cool image, Pnina. I like how you composed this. It keeps my attention, and I enjoy that. Link to comment
davidorea 1 Posted December 16, 2009 Superb capture, Pnina. The provocative sensuality of the reflected woman is unique. Excellent composition with a delight of atmosphere. Congrats! Link to comment

pnital 36 Posted December 17, 2009 to all of you for your feedback Mario, Liz, Mehmet, Ruud, David , Fabrizio and Amal Gunnar, thanks for your nice evaluation. Christal, thank for taking the time and expressing your feelings and trying to find out what it is you are looking at. I learn to look and compose the real and what we think is real or have sources of reality (which it has of course). Looking into cars I learned from looking at works here ( Gordon Bowbrick as an example).also my work with the dance groups. There are many surprises to be found. This is a play of light, reality is simpler than the result...;-)) It is a PR on a car in the street with more cars around, reflections ,and angle of the camera. Thanks for your wishes as well. I wish you and all my visitors, the best for the holidays and coming new year. Marjolein, as I wrote to Christal you will have part of the answer. I appreciate your feedback To all of you my heartiest wishes. Link to comment
gordonjb 10,860 Posted December 17, 2009 Pnina; You never know what you may find while looking in cars :-) This is a terrific result. I particularly like the discrepancy between the reflection of the women within the car window and the remainder of the reflection on the paint of the car body. I also very much like the way in which the bright spectra highlights in the left side of the frame act like a bread crumb trail to lead my eye across the image to the view through the front window to the repeating pattern of car windows behind. I also like there your reflection is nowhere to be found as that would have stolen from the magic. Link to comment
Jack McRitchie 150 Posted December 17, 2009 Interesting picture, Pnina, almost as if we were viewing this scene on a bank of tv monitors. Wonderful use of surface and reflection to create a world where nothing is what it seems. Link to comment
jayanti 0 Posted December 18, 2009 Shadows and realities around cars have a special fascination for me - never managed to make such a good image. Excellent results of your effort. I like the distribution of darkness and brightness on teh two halves - and her expression. Also the right side conveys speed, the left relaxed mood. A puzzle indeed. Best regards. Link to comment
joe-tury 0 Posted December 18, 2009 Love this. I agree with Jack's comment about looking at video moniters. Great idea to look at reflections in cars!! P.S> studies are going great!! I love school very much and have already learned a lot!! Link to comment
pnital 36 Posted December 18, 2009 Gord, when I saw this street scene you know who came first to my mind? One guess ;-))..Thanks for your detailed impressions, which as THE well experienced photographer with wonderful result was my " model" on this subject.... I appreciated very much your evaluation. Jack, my second "model" of how to look at streets art,I learn all the time, and you are a great teacher, .. ;-)) Thanks Jayanti, I'm really glad it is still a kind of a puzzle... So many times photography is not reality as is life in real, but as we experience it...I think this is what makes photography so interesting, and part of the creative arts. Thanks for your visit and comment. Joe, It is wonderful to see you active again, and enjoying your studies, learning is always a great bonus .Hope to see more of your new works. Link to comment

AJHingel 127 Posted December 19, 2009 This is very, very good Pnina. The grey tones and very little saturated colors on one side and the black right side creates a tension that one could see reflected in the face of the lady. The straw and the can get's us down on earth. I love your signed car, Pnina. Great work! Link to comment
tibig 0 Posted December 19, 2009 This really is a complex shot! I like the combination of reflection and transparency. On the other hand, it looks a bit like a (very well executed) ad for the drink that seems to have managed to make her day. From that point of view (that I am aware can be totally wrong) the shot is a bit less deep than others you make.Regards, Tibi Link to comment
katzpjs 50 Posted December 19, 2009 Nice work Pnina. I like the reflections as well as the multiple levels of vehicles we are looking through. As Gordon stated, looking into cars can be an adventure of its own. I suspect he sees much more than just dogs. Link to comment
pnital 36 Posted December 20, 2009 Jorg, thanks , you can still go out from the window....;-)) Anders, Thanks for liking, if I will tell you that "Trompe l'oeil"was a factor here as well, you will know what I'm talking about....;-)) Tibi, I respect your point of view, you are right only in part and wrong in the other, reality is not always what we see , and this is the case here. Trompe l"oeil" ( I'm French) literally means "trick the eye", it is a technic practiced from the Renaissance( and even before) .. I used the light and angle and my PP.The illusion between reality and imagination is present in this one.;-)) Shawn, thanks we learn all the time, from members work and comments , other art forms, and our accumulating experience. laurent_jaussi 0 Posted December 21, 2009 Is this Paris Hilton ?....are you paparazing Pnina ?...if it's her, I wonder what kind of Brand might benefit from using Paris as Egerie, well probably her own brand...I like the contrast between the apparent glamour of the picture and the cheap relfection on the car surface that bring the glamour back to reality...
