Madurai T.N. Seshagopalan, Karnatik Vocal Maestro, and disciple Madurai R. Sundar

This is an in-concert portrait of Madurai T.N. Seshagopalan, a well

known South Indian classical (Karnatik) vocalist. He was performing in a

concert in Detroit with his disciple Madurai R. Sundar, who is now a well-

known classical singer in his own right

The original photograph was taken on Kodak TMZ-3200, rated at ISO

1000, exposed for 1/30 second at f/5.6. This picture was scanned

directly from the negative and sharpened in Photoshop CS2.

This image is part of my ongoing series of portraits of Indian classical

musicians.
