peter_daalder 0 Posted October 4, 2002 Can't get enough of this genre... Thanks Gaetan for capturing this moment and sharing it at PN. I don't know if you were out there well in advance, deliberately waiting for the "right moment". It never ceases to amaze me how quickly these scenes change... Link to comment
gaetanchevalier 5 Posted October 5, 2002 Thanks Peter for your comment.I was lucky to capture at the right time that photo, because the sky was mostly clear where the sun set and at the same time the Isidore storm was approaching our area. In fact you can see that about 20% of the cloud are not lit by the sun. I was not out there well in advance, deliberately waiting for the "right moment" for this photo. But I have a look at a web site that give a picture of the clouds in North America every 30 minutes. With that information, I was able to see that I had a good chance to capture a great sunset. With experience and observation of the sky you could "forecast" the chance of beautiful sunset. But it is always a guess. Link to comment
