philipward 0 Posted December 9, 2009 Andrea great scene. It reminds me of Bruegel,s "Winter scene with skaters and birds".Fantastic!. Link to comment
gunnar1664882369 1 Posted December 9, 2009 I like the chaos here. But still there is a system and regulations. I have associations with Brueghel´s winter scenes, and this is like a contemporary Brueghel. Absolutely fantastic picture. Link to comment
3m 0 Posted December 10, 2009 Hi Andrea, Just like Gunnar and Philip: Brueghel came to my mind right away too :-) -- A 21st Century Brueghel in Rome, but keeping to his winter skate scenes. I really love it!!!! Link to comment
jrickert 2 Posted December 10, 2009 Very nice photo. It reminds me of my childhood. I like the black and white background against the brightly-colored skaters. Link to comment

andrea-de-bonis 6 Posted December 10, 2009 thanks, my friends, for all your encouraging words. i didnt expect this, becouse i thinkt that this photo has not a basement, it seems to me cutted in the bottom side. thanks, ciao! Link to comment

gisiklar 0 Posted December 11, 2009 This is an original looking photo for me. I think diagonal (but not uniformly so) positioning of the skaters add to the dynamics and brings a delightful composition. I also like how the skaters bring color to December in Rome and orange skates look especially interesting. As you pointed out bottom has an abrupt end but that did not bother me until you mentioned. After rechecking, I think you may be right as I would like to see a closing frame at the bottom but it is also possible that the positioning of a few skaters at the bottom bring a partial closure at the bottom side. Thanks for sharing. Link to comment

andrea-de-bonis 6 Posted December 11, 2009 maurizio, gultekin, keith, thanks for your attention. gultekin, thanks for have mentioned the diagonal. i had to spent some time waiting for a position of the persons, but that crow was very undisciplineted.. this pale diagonal was the best result....
