aanji 1 Posted December 9, 2009 I like the contrasts in your image. The manmade vs. natural, beauty vs. utility, open vs. tightly wrapped. I assume this is a composite image? if so, more kudos to your vision. Link to comment

someoneelse 1 Posted December 9, 2009 Thank you Michael Aanji Crowley, you did discribe the contrasts beautifull, and here for you the original, so you see it is not a composite, but a very big crop Els Link to comment

Jack McRitchie 150 Posted December 9, 2009 It's the sign of the creative artist that he can take such simple elements and through juxtaposing them within the frame, come up with something that combines delicacate beauty and sword-like strength. Link to comment
someoneelse 1 Posted December 9, 2009 Thanks Jack McRitchie, for your beautiful and original comment, and I am very happy you did visit me, I admire your work very much Link to comment
gisiklar 0 Posted December 9, 2009 A very beautiful shot, composition, and bokeh. I even liked the original uncropped version but cropping made it much better. My only slight problem is the few sunspots seen at the top and at the bottom, I guess because of the lens but anyway this is such a minor point anyway... Congratulations. Link to comment
davidorea 1 Posted December 10, 2009 Superb crop idea with excellent result, Els. A delight of elements, background and DOF. Original work, as always! Congrats! Link to comment

amalsircar 2 Posted December 10, 2009 Els, superb shot. Very good cropping, exposure,DOF and details. It requires an artist to spot such marvels in Nature and capture it with camera.Kudos!! Link to comment

lliebl 5 Posted December 11, 2009 Remarkable color and clarity. Your artistic vision is the difference between what might have been an average image and the excellent one you created. My compliments! ~~~~~~~~~~~~L Link to comment
someoneelse 1 Posted December 11, 2009 I am very happy to hear that Linda, when I did look at the original, I did see that there would be material for a more different picture, how symbolic can all of this be !!!! And happily I am shooting in VERY VERY BIG formats, so I can crop, and not loosing the clearity... thanks for your time and comment -with love Els Link to comment

someoneelse 1 Posted December 11, 2009 My dear B;l;ana, I will send you an e-mail.... but it is NOT MY project, but from a very good friend of me, his name is Hein de Graaf, and he did make a project of woman portraits. so I (read my face) am now hanging somewhere (in an Art Gallery in Groningen, Netherlands) with 14 other woman-portraits.... and there will be another serie, perhaps I can bring you in contact with him.
