Reflection Lake sunrise

This image was made with my Leica r7 and Fuji Velvia film. There is absolutely no

manipulation at all; this is exactly how the slide looks. I made the image about 15

minutes before the morning sun hit the peak of Mount Rainier.

Stunning. What a great opportunity to be there at just the right time and place... and be prepared for it! Really beautiful capture.

Very nice image. The green grass in the water really "pops". Excellent composition.

As stunning as this is, I hate to mention this small nit. But it seems to me that the 'horizon' (where the water meets the shore) goes down on the left. If you were to even this up I would rate this a 7/7 for sure.

Thanks for the nice comments everyone. I just wanted to do something that has not been done a hundred times before at this lake. Funny story. There were 20 other people at Reflection Lake on this morning. They all went for the shot of the flowers in the foreground. No-one was even interested in this shot. I said I would move if anyone wanted to shoot it but no-one took me up on the offer. Thanks again, JJ.

That small patch of wild green amid the soft and quiet purple makes for an incredible composition.  This is simply outstanding.
