jill_rocker 1 Posted December 7, 2009 Gail I must say that your flower shots makes me both happy and warm inside... You give us summer beauty when we need it the most... The cold weather is closing in fast here in Sweden now so this shot was just what I needed... Lovely... All my best, Jill Link to comment

GailAnthonyHarmer 5 Posted December 8, 2009 Hello Jill, .............yes the cold weather is here and we are getting a big snowstorm in the next 24 hours............I love seeing the snow on the ground but do not enjoy the 'cold' or the dirty streets. We often don't appreciate the beauty of summer until our landscape is bare and lifeless. Thankfully during the summer I took many photos of anything beautiful ai could fnd. Hopefully they will get us through the 'coldest times:!! thanks my friend in Sweden for your lovely visit! sincerely, Gail Link to comment

Tom Wiggins Photography 0 Posted December 10, 2009 Gail: Nicely done Macro, I think you should have cloned out lower right pestle. But you captured the frost , WOW Tom Link to comment
GailAnthonyHarmer 5 Posted December 11, 2009 You kow you are right Tom.........I don't know why I didn't think of it...I was concerned about the 'purpleish' shades of the surrounding flowers...and probably didn't even pay attention to the 'pestle' you mentioned....will try to be more careful in my observations next time.....thankyou for pointing that out to me...as it does 'nothing' for the photo.......many thanks, Gail Link to comment
amalsircar 2 Posted December 13, 2009 Gail, , to me the flower looks like a ballerina performing pirouette. The white petals, stem and DOF create a visual delight. I agree with Tom about cloning the distraction. Link to comment
GailAnthonyHarmer 5 Posted December 13, 2009 Thankyou Amal for your very descriptive critique....I can see how you ended up with that 'image'.......and I too, agree with Tom....there is no reason to have that "distraction' there'...does nothing for the photo....many thanks for your visit and kind words, respectfully, Gail (Actually....'anyone' out there..do you think this shot would look better if I did a tighter crop and got rid of the purple on the 'left'????
