thadley 14 Posted December 15, 2009 IMHO a common problem with dark hair and dark background is that there is no separation and you have done a wonderful job here. A wonderful composition, great light and the dark clothes keeps you focused on what you and the lady wanted the viewer to see. While I like the natural look some might advise a very very slight softening of the skin. Congrats. Link to comment
mcclure 0 Posted December 16, 2009 on the one hand Tony has a point if the image is about a comfy portrait -- I like the real and unreal in this capture and would not change a thing. Highlight and shadow detail is wonderful. I don't know how you did this but you altered the planes of the subject to the point where it becomes other. The focus detailing of heavy makeup set against the soft focus of the cross and cleavage elevates the impression and message. The head is nearly separate from the scene. Fantastic capture and very unusual; Congrats!!! Link to comment

alfbailey 1 Posted December 20, 2009 I like this portrait, simply because it is so different, none of the overused cliched shots are present here, and the light and detail are perfect. Very different and original! Kind Regards Alf Link to comment

yannik_hay 1 Posted January 11, 2010 This is a superb portrait with good lighting and lovely and a bit sensual image with the nice clivage that doesn't show too much. Just how feminine she is. Also a glimpse of her lovely traits. Very well done! Cheers! Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted January 11, 2010 Very different from the usual and very beautiful worked portrait. Your use of light is excellent, bringing out the full tonal range. Excellent in the shadow and the midtones. Artistic, elegant and very sensitive. Great presentation from you. Take good care Alex and all the best from Jannica Link to comment
