ifti 1 Posted December 7, 2009 Love the idea conveyed here, the fall leaf and first winter. Composition with diagnol lines is effective. The shimmer of the light in left upper is distracting. Consider cropping it out completely Leaving only the far icy edge. Regards ifti Link to comment
ldavidson 4 Posted December 7, 2009 Thank you all for commenting. I appreciate it. Iftikhar, Thanks for the advice. That sounds like a good idea and I will try it. I took several shots of this lonely little leaf that lingered on. I rather liked the way the light lit up the ice, but I am always interested in the ideas and suggestions of other members. There is nothing like a second opinion, and nothing that can't be improved. Best wishes. Link to comment

ldavidson 4 Posted December 7, 2009 Thank you all for commenting. I appreciate your encouraging remarks. This ice was very thin. It wasn't bitter cold, but there was a strong wind that gave the ice the texture. It is starting to feel like winter. Link to comment

Guest Guest Posted December 11, 2009 Nice. The lone leaf amid the quiet of the ice and frost, textural. There's a warmth even to the cool colors. I like the way the highlighting balances the leaf and I like the diagonal running through the frame. Interesting the way the cast moves from magenta in the shadows of the lower right to blue as we go up and out from there. Link to comment
mbh 0 Posted December 15, 2009 A beautiful image, a little lonely, I love how simple this composition is, but also quite powerful. Link to comment
