I think I agree with lightening the sky, that would add pop. But I really like this photo and I think it's a great exposition of the contest theme.

Just about the perfect perspective for such a busy scene. Lovely night shot.

Hi Folks, thanks for viewing and commenting. Regarding the sky, I actually did use some shadow/highlight to brighten it a bit. It was very close to night, so this reflects reality. Maybe I'll try working it some more, but it may not match the lighten reflected in the water. Anyway, I'll try and see how it looks.

 

Starvy: The perspective was mad possible by a bridge that passes over the harbor. It makes a good vantage point from which to view and photograph the annual lighted boat parade. These boats were moored, but there is also a parade of boats which float up and down the harbor. cheers, -Clayton
