Forbidden City in the Evening

Breath-taking. The colors are exceptional but it seems Hasselblad still have not solve the issue of noise in low light condition. I had the same problem shooting outdoor with the H2D - images appear noisy.

 

The digital Hasselblad seems more suitable with studio lighting.

Thanks Alec for your comment. In fact I used ISO 400 for the shot and the sky was also typically Beijing, "smoggy". Besides, the photoshop processing to bring out the colors and softening of the shadows etcs. and the reduction of file size all contributed to the noise too.

That's the reason why I feel the top end Canon and Nikon cameras are more suited to shooting in low light condition and also producing lower noise images at ISO 3200 with their FF sensors even though it is smaller then the sensor size of the medium format Hasselblad.

 

It is also a fact that the fashion pros do outdoor commercial shoots using Hasselblad aided with cell powered studio lights.
