An interesting structure with lots of layers. I've never enjoyed the

building during the day, but found it very interesting to shoot at night.

Thanks for feedback.

There is so much to explore in this picture I really like it. The empty table in the foreground, the splash of color from the flag in an otherwise earth tone image, the people sitting and talking on the bench.

I like the framing of the image. The right side with it's light is balanced on the left with darkness but with a single supporting column angling out of the photo.

The atmosphere of the photo reminds me of the painting, "Nighthawks" by Edward Hopper.

My question to you is, was it just luck that the people didn't move during the 4s exposure or did they know to sit still?

Thank you for sharing this image here and on the WedNesDAy PiC thread.

Thanks, Keith. I made this shot six times, bracketing a bit to play with DoF and the crazy dynamic range involved. Those two guys sitting there talking never moved once! That must have been a serious conversation. Thanks for lingering on this image enough to pick up on all of that. It's even more fun when seen as a large print.

Very nice composition and beautiful colors and light. There is something mysterious about the scene with the only trace of human beings, being the two persons cut in pieces by te frames of the glass structure. They could have sat in forefront without being endangered - image-wise, that is. Even the flag is broken by the structure. These acts of violence happen however in a scene of great esthetic quality. There is stuff here for a memorable scene. Well done.
