I did not like the effect of the vignette or the color toning of the photo. I think I have seen this same effect twice today.

 

I am seeing the effect more than your subject. Make the picture about a subject.

John, you might have seen it twice today because I've posted 3 in the last couple days. These are photo's that I have a bit of fun with, although I'm confused a bit as to why you can't figure out the subject. It is a documentary style photo of an old church......right there..... in the middle......there's a church. :)

I find I like the toning...it ages the place...I think you could back the vignette off just a bit... but otherwise I like the fact you are stepping outside your own box.

The vignette remains consistent with the others I've processed in this manner and I prefer it that way. Keeps it simple.

 

Yeah, I really don't feel I've found my photographic niche yet, so I really like to experiment with different things. I know sometimes it confuses people when they look at my port because they can't place me in a category. Spontaneous photography, I guess I'll call it. :)
