steveshinn 0 Posted December 3, 2009 Hi John, These big boys are fascinating and can be fun to photograph. Since you asked, I will try to offer some honest hints. The image looks sharp enough and your equipment is more than capable. Firstly you have a real problem with lighting.. not a whole lot we can do about the weather but to mitigate the effects try to always shoot in RAW as there are more options to deal with this type of image and not during high sun angle times. Try to catch the bird with wings up in these situations so that the shadowed parts are more exposed. There is a lot you can do in PP but I don't know if you want to mess with it. Hope this helps.
