alight 0 Posted November 29, 2009 I really like this photo. The play of the light and shade, the texture of the concrete, the bright yellow stuff outside that continues inside and guides the eyes in, including the RH yellow curb that accentuates the curve... Really great. It's good to make a nice photo out of a drab place. BTW, my little digicam died, so I replaced it with a cheap PowerShot A480. Makes nice photos and even has a simple histogram and also shows what parts of the image are over-blown. Good deal for one of the cheapest Canons. Cheers, Micheal Link to comment
michaellinder 16,611 Posted November 30, 2009 I agree with my colleagues. Your treatment makes an ordinary scene quite intriguing. The image really draws the viewer in, wondering what lies beyond the far wall. Also, the area of pavement in the foreground has a very different texture than the rest, leading one to really question the reality (or lack thereof) of this scene. Congratulations!!!!! michael Link to comment
pnital 36 Posted December 2, 2009 This is a nice mundane tunnel that leads us in, and has a good compositional quality. I like the curves in the upper and lower parts, the light and shadows are soft even though it is red ( with nuances of orange ands yellow). A real good David Meyer sight and observation. laurent_jaussi 0 Posted December 24, 2009 the mix of day and artificial light (with your treatment) makes it original...it looks like the entrance of a cavern...every society ancient or modern has is own cavern... Link to comment
