paolo de faveri 1 Posted November 26, 2009 I've rarely seen the gorges of the Chiusella river in such a spate: the exceptionally snowy winter of 2009 went to an end with a loud roar! Taken at the top of the Valchiusella, a beautiful narrow valley of the western Alps, this is a stitch of 4 vertical frames. Your C&C are as always highly appreciated, thanks in advance for your time. Details: Eos 50D, Tokina ATX-Pro 12-24 f4, tripod. 0,6" f16, no filters. double RAW processing and exposure blending, stitching. Link to comment
whydangle 0 Posted November 26, 2009 Truly exceptional composition Paolo. Your shutter speed, as usual, is perfect; not too long yet long enough to create the sensation of movement while retaining detail in the flowing water. I think you could push the whites locally on the opposite bank to pull the eyes inward, not a dodge per say, just the whites in levels, just enough to accentuate the specular highlights. Meanwhile, quite superb! Link to comment

davidspeight 0 Posted November 27, 2009 Cracking shot Paolo, very nicely ordered composition. This almost looks like Scotland. Best Wishes, Dave. Link to comment
DGorinstein 20 Posted August 3, 2012 Wonderful image indeed, as the other members of PN say. Nothing to add. I would, however, liked it better in plain BW. I believe the sepia tone takes some of the impact and power away from this great photograph.DG Link to comment
