Three wooden poles, probably the remains of an old dwarf, emerging

from the still waters of the Etang de Vaccares, the largest lake in

Camargue, France. Taken on a rainy evening of mid April. The ethereal

effect comes from a very long exposure - about 4 minutes - combined

with the rain: the long exposure has perfectly smoothed the surface of

water and motion-blurred the clouds in the sky, whilst the rain

provided a sort of natural flou filter to the entire image.

Your C&C are as always welcome, thanks in advance.

Ahahah David, that's the funny side of writing in a foreign language! I was totally sure that dwarf was the same as jetty, but the correct word is wharf of course (had to check the Merrian-Webster though)

Well, what else to say? Thanks all for commenting on the "poles of the dwarf" picture...

:D

Unbelievably simple yet strong image. Blurry horizon may look bizzare but definitely adds an abstract feel to the image that I appreciate very much. Glad to have seen, thanks for sharing.
