Thanks Steve! A while back when I first started shooting bird (Skimmer) Monte gave me a tip of getting the eye for Skimmer (dark eye against dark suit) by shooting early in the morning with the bird going toward the light. Catching the green eyes of Cormorant is a lot less difficult than getting Skimmer eye though.

Yes, (re; the Skimmers) a black eye on a black background is not easy. You must have the light reflection on it or it's lost.
