A warm bit of smile -- so small -- but not such warm eyes. They are nice eyes, but there is something there incongruous with his nice expression. I like the background. I like the prominent way in which the status alligator insignia sticks out on his shirt -- he has pride, is well put together, but I wonder how you will break down these walls.

Focus point was offset to his right eye. Photo taken without recomposing. The focus on the eye could have been better but unfortunately was not. The clothing is out of focus. He did not move. The DOF is narrow. The exposure was 1/125sec F2. I think that the clothing is not in focus because the distance from the sensor plane to the eye (point of focus) is not same distance as to the clothing.. Sort of like a side of a right triangle and the hypotenuse. This happens to me frequently on close-ups. Maybe my explanation is wrong. See that attached photo. The focus was offset to the eye. The photo taken without recomposing. The exposure is 1/50sec F2.2. The eye is in focus. The zipper of the sweater is not in focus.

My comment above with attachment was meant to be deleted because After that reply to you I looked again at Issam and see that it is not the same thing as what I describe in that attachment. Issam is something altogether different I think. The OOF thing I did not understand. Have you seen other examples? The lens is 20 years old. Maybe I should replace the lens? Isams eye is not tack sharp either. This is a problem I am having frequently.. Is it me? I do not know the reason. It is because of this (what I found in examples like my attachment above) that I began to use the offset focus feature instead of focus and recompose.
