Field and Clouds

My first attempt at merging two exposures to create one image. I have

not been pleased with results from HDR yet, but I really like the results

from manually cutting and pasting the foreground from one image

exposed for the foreground onto the background of another image

exposed for the background.

Arguably a cliche' and missing the requisite red tractor or tree on the horizon but very very nicely composed in any case. Giving the sky precedence here was a good decision; more interesting patterns there. Since your original objective was to merge two images I'd call this one a success. Best, LM.
