As the tide goes out on the Schoodic Peninsula in Acadia National

Park, ME, this waterfall effect is created as the ocean water cascades

down the rocks on the shore. I used a polarizing filter and long

exposure to capture this effect. Crits/Comments welcomed. Thanks!

I don't understand the rationale for holding the camera at an approximately 45-degree angle. What's the purpose, and what is accomplished by that?

I can relate to the questions from the previous commentor. In this image, the flow of falling water is a strong signal to the viewer about the orientation of the image. I believe you would have to make a very abstract composition in order for that strong signal about the "correct" orientation to not be distracting to the viewer. Just my two cents.
