sriram shankar gallery 0 Posted November 20, 2009 This is my 18 months old son dressed as "Bala (child/little) Krishna". Bit of a story/context on the title/caption: Krishna, a god in Hindu mythology, was very naughty as a child & used to stealthily eat-up butter in his mother's kitchen as well in his neighborhood. His mom used to get upset quite often with her naughty son & the complaints she used to get from her neighbors! (Here my little son Shyam (one of Krishna's alternative names), though dressed up as Krishna & equally naughty, was actually not caught eating butter - but a chocolate!!!) ;-) Hope you like this. hoosier 0 Posted November 21, 2009 Thanks for the comments on my portfolio, they are very much appreciated. I see in many of your portraits three elements that I'm drawn to: beautiful eyes, natural lighting, and spontaneity. The shots of my family that I've posted illustrate the most important photographic rule; if you take enough pictures, a few are bound to be good :) My grand kids think a camera is part of my anatomy; they rarely see me without it. I think that's the key. The kids forget about the camera, so I have countless spontaneous photo ops. I'm happy if 5 shots out of 100 are worth opening. The images in my portfolio were culled from thousands of shots. Yours, Jerry King Link to comment
Karl Schuler 48 Posted November 21, 2009 This is a lovely shot, fraught with simple childhood and mythology. Hope it was Swiss choclet ;-). Karl Link to comment
mbh 0 Posted December 1, 2009 I like the cultural references through his costume, but its that open mouth that drew my eye. Such a wonderful little image. Link to comment
