David-Wisse 5 Posted November 18, 2009 Such a serene, peaceful, and intimate portrait Trisha - with great detail in the fur. Rare to see a portrait with closed eyes - but appropriate here, with the warm sunlight lulling the cat to sleep. Best, David Link to comment
trisha jean-angela 5 Posted November 18, 2009 Thanks so much David for your kind comment; it is much appreciated! Walker is such a doll to photograph; he loves the camera and he knows how to work it...quite funny actually to watch him pose and give me different angles...I just wish I had a better camera to fully capture what I see. Thanks again for your comment! :) Link to comment

harlequin 0 Posted November 22, 2009 Lovely detail in the shot. Wish there had been just a little back light to help define the shape of the head. She is obviously enjoying the sun and its warmth. Good focus. - Charles Link to comment
trisha jean-angela 5 Posted November 22, 2009 Thank you so much for your kind comment; it is very difficult shooting in sunlight and unfortunately losing detail is one of the problems. I really appreciate your input and I am glad you like this one; thanks so much. :) Link to comment

trisha jean-angela 5 Posted November 23, 2009 Thank you so much for your kind comment! I will pass it on to Walker; he really has no idea how very cute he is...in fact, it enables him to get away with being a SUPER BRAT! lol. Thanks again for your comment and for your visit! :) Link to comment
sjmurray 33,520 Posted November 24, 2009 Nice cat portrait! I see the slight smile on his face because he is content. I can't stop taking photos of my cats either. You might enjoy my "people and pets" folder. Link to comment
trisha jean-angela 5 Posted November 24, 2009 Thank you so much for your kind comment; I will definately check out your work! And yes, he is very content here in his favorite napping spot! All my pets have their own distinct personalities and habits; they keep me entertained for hours! Thanks again for visiting and for your kind words. :) Link to comment

inoneeye 8,647 Posted December 4, 2009 Walker was a cat that lived with me years ago. I still miss him. Your Walker seems to be in a state of bliss. Perhaps if you just reach out and stroke his cheek it would be complete nirvana for you both. His ear is hoping you do just that. You have beautifully tickled the technical threshold of my 1.8 monitor calibration. It's good to meet you Trisha. Link to comment
trisha jean-angela 5 Posted December 4, 2009 The bond we have with our furry babies is amazing, isn't it? Was your Walker a BRAT too? My Walker sure is, but a loveable brat; he just doesn't seem to know he is a cat and I think there in lies the problem! lol. He thinks he is a big ferocious dog and therefor doesn't tolerate the other cats! Thank you so much for visiting and for leaving your kind words...good to meet you too! :) Link to comment
david_l._forney 0 Posted December 6, 2009 Nicely done, Trishia. Not your average portrait of a cat. The composition and light are perfect. David Link to comment

alfbailey 2 Posted January 22, 2010 I love the expression and pose, cats can be such self indulgent creatures, if I could read Walkers mind I'd bet he was thinking, "Would you mind dimming the lights, and quit pointing that thing at me, I'm really not ready to wake up yet|"! Exquisite detail and great dof complete the picture.Very nice work Trisha! Kind Regards Alf Link to comment
trisha jean-angela 5 Posted January 23, 2010 Thank you so much for your kind comment! I really don't know what Walker was thinking here but he is really good at working the camera and this is his favorite spot to take his morning naps; he may have very well been thinking what you have suggested his thoughts might be! :) Thank you so much for the visit and leaving your kind comments and input! :) Link to comment
vancouverphotographer 1 Posted March 28, 2010 At first I thought maybe open eyes would have been good but then looking at the great light, it's as if he's bathing in it and the closed eyes seem very appropriate. Nicely done. Link to comment
