erik_sven 0 Posted November 19, 2009 I’m wondering who/what of both is the piece of art here, Deb ;o). The young woman looks as colourful and artistic as the painting she is making. Well observed and rendered with appropriate, dense colours. A photo that tells a story, indeed. Just two remarks: 1) I would have liked a bigger part of the painting in focus; 2) the far background looks too sharp and, hence, too present to me – especially the partly cropped people sitting on the benches. But you don’t always choose the circumstances, do you? I don’t know your settings for this picture, but couldn’t a slightly different focus point and a wider aperture have helped here? Said this, you offer us a nice and interesting example of street photography. Kind regards, Erik Link to comment
wogears 186 Posted November 20, 2009 Great bit of street shooting. I like the way the painting echoes the painter. Lively color, of course, and about 350 millihewitts as well. :) I think it would really be worth the (considerable) effort to mask the foreground and add a slight blur to the background.
