I think the bright green background detracts attention from the subject. Here's a small edit I did in lightroom, desaturating and darkening the green, brightening the lichen. Cheers, Steve

Thank you for your suggestion, however, I am not keen on the desaturation of the lichen itself. I believe I might crop away a majority of the bright green background first. Thank you again...
