Alex 0 Posted November 16, 2009 Well done. I like the choice of portrait orientation with great placement one the 2 elements creating a diagonal from foreground to background. Not to mention the whole dramatic sky makes the image estremely interesting. The ony thing (personal) if I may is the lighting on tree trunk on the foreground appears too artificial and I think it detracts. I can see the value of having the trunk lit but I think that lighting does not match the seen, it looks to directional. Regards, Alex Link to comment

GailAnthonyHarmer 6 Posted July 23, 2010 Personally, for me at least, the lighting on the tree trunk does not bother me at all. This is your 'vision' of the End of Time. The foreground leasds us into this most desolate image. Whatever takes 'us' be it fire and brimstone, meteors, radiation, tsunami...........your very effective take on this 'subject of the day', is brilliant. In the distance, that could be sky, or reflections of fire. I find that you do leave us with two images. One of utter desolation, and one of hope. Above the menacing clouds there is a brighter sky. The beautiful tree in the distance still has 'growth' on the top, and what appears to be 'two trunks'. Perhaps the tree 'represents' two humans being left to continue on 'Man's Legacy'. If so, let's hope lessons have been learned and the future of the planet is not one of 'destruction'. Excellent compositon so ver fitting to your title. Sincerely, Gail Link to comment
