Karl Schuler 48 Posted November 12, 2009 The clouds have to cover the increasingly nacked mountains. In fact I have never seen them with so little snow and ice. Karl Link to comment
chriscourt 0 Posted November 13, 2009 Now that's what I call a landscape! What is the small hut on the peak to the left? Link to comment
carlwakefield 0 Posted November 13, 2009 Chris the peak with the hut is the birg where the cable car from murren finishes and the second starts to Schilthorn. If you look closely you see the cable car on its way towards the left side on its way to schilthorn. Behind in the middle ground is Lauberhorn and in the far back left is Wetterhorn. Moving the backrow from left to right is Wetterhorn, Eiger, Monch, Jungfrau. I am standing just bellow the little schilthorn on what is called Todes Kopf. The german description for a scull and crossbones. It the start of a great off piste sking in winter but its extremly steep and you finishup by the little tracks down off to the right. carlwakefield 0 Posted November 13, 2009 Hi Karl, yes every year the ice receeds and the global warming is really to be seen here in the Alps. This was summer now its all covered in snow again. Hopefully there is no big fohn storms and the ski season will start like normal. Maybe you back from Nepal and again in Switzerland we could get out and shoot a few landscapes together.
