A prayer for "truth"...

My title and image is a provocation: the Gaudi's words on the Sagrada

Familia, the red Valentino's dresses with the hands of the manikins like

in a prayer. Where is "truth"? May be can they be the two faces of the

same coin?...Ciaomau!

Maurizio.........I think your creation here truly speaks of the 'human condition'...at least if we are to get down to 'brass tacks'......the 'gut of the matter'. We all have our own 'little oddities about our personalities and preferences' when it comes to all things in life.

 

Whether it be Love; Passion; our Families or Friends we deem closest; our Work; our Appetities (on all levels);........right down to the place where we feel the most 'at home'........the most relaxed.......where we can let our hair down and just be 'ME'........without judgement, criticism..........a place where we feel at Peace.

 

I feel at some time or another, we all meet our 'lowest' and most 'needy' time...when our spirits cannot muster the energy to even 'sigh'. When the very act of lifting our heads or opening our eyes seems to be a monumental task. Despair grips our hearts.....fear becomes 'real'.......whatever illusions we have had about ourselves, our position in life, .........at this very moment they mean NOTHING!!!!

 

It is a time when we look 'upward' and if we do not believe there is a God....perhaps many 'pray there is a God'. For this is the time when all the cards are on the table....our very existance is in someone else's 'hands'. Deluding ourselves into believing that we shall never be FACED with this moment is assinine.

 

As I write this.........ever so many weep....they are on their knees.....no more 'magic rabbits' to pull out of the hat......no more negotiations are possible....no more 'if I had just.....' exist. It is too much of a shame that we as humans, have to reach this very 'condition' before we will throw away all the 'trappings of this life....the foolish 'accessories' that make us feel important...or justify our existance before we will ALLOW ourselves to even approach the 'subject' or even entertain thoughts on what is truly REAL.....what is truly TRUE? For it may mean we will have to give up things we do not need, things that are perhaps harmful to us, yet enjoyable....

 

To pray for TRUTH........to even 'journey' down that road in search of TRUTH...we will meet many obstacles....some perhaps very 'nasty'. We may have to give up our thoughts of only 'entertaining' what is 'beautiful and gives us pleasure' in this life to reach this 'REALITY'.

 

In this 'time and space'.....there is just us and, ...............what is truly 'TRUTH'. No one's 'lies or imaginaitons' can rescue us. We are stripped naked and have no place to hide. I believe that this is the place where we DISCOVER .........TRUTH. Yet if you look deeply within your heart and soul..........our very existance lies within the boundaries of 'what is trully TRUE'.

 

'LIES' can not save us......'FAIRY TALES' or the 'FLIPPPANT OBSURDIDIES' that many believe are what makes up their 'pleasurable lives' will not be 'walls' strong enough for them to lean on.

 

And your image is not one of us even arriving at that 'desperate condition' where we seek to discover TRUTH. It is one that 'CRIES OUT' for the TRUTH--------BEFORE we arrive at such a CROSSROADS. And it is the sensible 'journey'.....to plead our case for what is REAL and TRUE in this life; in our countries; of our fellow man; those who govern us; and those whom we mingle with in our daily domestic and working lives.

 

What a RELIEF it would be to wake each day, assured of what lies ahead. Knowing that those who govern us, those who profess to Love us, those whom we trust for honest answers and comraderie.....were actually going to be situations and conversations that only existed within the boundaries of what is true and real.

 

Your 'mannequins' who all appear the same...no hair....their dress perhaps a bit different...but they, for me, symbolize all mankind.....reaching out and pleading for the 'TRUTH'..........in UNITY and a COMMON BOND. I feel our world has reached a point where mankind must seek TRUTH by whatever means.

 

Your 'vision' of mankind not DEMANDING an answer, but reaching out with open arms, and pleading for someone to satisfy their need for TRUTH is one that is a beautiful expression of HOPE and the 'common need' to exist in a world where 'question marks' do not meet us at every turn....a PRAYER for the ASSURANCE that what we hear and come to know in the days ahead, will not be 'folly' or a 'mask or coverup of what is to be' but moreover, a REALITY we can count on, enabling us to live full, confident, and productive lives...for where there is 'TRUTH'.....there is the environment for people to once again enjoy HOPE and PEACE.....and perhaps FEAR will no longer grip the hearts of so many.

 

I apologise for 'rambling on' (you are welcome to delete this if you wish, I will understand).........but I congratulate you on a Universal Image of a 'Brighter Tomorrow', in a world whose 'light is growing dim'. These are just my random thoughts...I am no theologian or great 'thinker' .....just an everday person with no agenda....but I am 'ready' for the 'TRUTH'.
