obi-wan-yj 0 Posted November 10, 2009 My niece's twin boys were five days old at this shoot. Their smallstomachs weren't very cooperative, so I'll go back in a couple weeksfor some better poses. This was my first experiment with an off-camera speedlight through atranslucent umbrella. It was located against the ceiling about 45degrees to camera left. Shot with my Olympus F.Zuiko 50/1.8 lens, which originally belonged to the twins' great-grandfather.I wish I'd lowered the flash I bit to light grandma's eye a littlebetter. Any other suggestions for improvement? Link to comment
3m 0 Posted November 11, 2009 I like this portrait very much. The way you cropped it makes the composition interesting for me. I do think that the primarily focus should be on the new life, the baby, so the fact that Grandma isn't more highlighted works actually well, in my opinion. (& I think that she could even be a tiny bit more under-exposed) Congratulations - a great photo! Link to comment
