andrea allison 0 Posted November 11, 2009 Beautiful warm light Linda! Gives a lovely mood and atmosphere. I grew up on a small Hobby Farm I guess you could say, and we raised a few Palominos. This shot brings back lots of memories.. nice!! Link to comment

ldavidson 4 Posted November 20, 2009 Thank you. I think this horse was the most gorgeous one I have seen. I was like a vision sashaying around in the fading sunlight, trying to cajol a treat. You never know who has an apple in his or her pocket. Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted November 20, 2009 I love the way you've utilized color here. The similarity of beiges throughout really offers a strong emotional pull for me. I like the way your focus fades away, though I do wonder if I'd prefer the horse's rump to have caught a little more of the foreground focus. The lighting and the barely visible mountains in the background is heavenly. The horse's main is dazzling and the backlighting on his whiskers is lovely. Beautiful texture througout. The fence provides a foil to the overall beauty and peace of the scene. Link to comment
ldavidson 4 Posted November 21, 2009 I always love to read your critiques, you alway have something interesting and helpful to say. With this image I was so stunned by the magnificent creature, the beautuful magical light and soft gold and beiges that I almost forgot to shoot. I just stood there gapping for several minutes. I softened the rump a bit when editing, it seemed too sharp to me. But I am always open to your suggestions, I will go back and have another look. It's good to hear from you.Have a great weekend. juan-de-santa-anna 0 Posted November 25, 2009 I love to see the shots you make...I have driven past a shot like this many times never to stop.... you show me why I should! Wondering what you think of a square crop...and some tonal adjustments...? I played with this a little... Thanks for all your visits! juan Link to comment
trisha jean-angela 5 Posted November 25, 2009 Beautiful shot Linda; I love the title too. I think the lighting is very good and the soft tonal shades really work well with the softness of the light; very well seen. She looks to be a bit of a flirt...Thanks for sharing! :) Link to comment

ldavidson 4 Posted November 27, 2009 I really like it. The mood is very different with the higher contrast, the darker gold. The horse looks more powerful with the defined muscles. The crop really works well too. I like it very much, it is more dramatic. This one of mine is pretty much how I saw the horse. A soft, golden vision in a gold and beige feild, bathed in soft, glowing light. I don't think I did the scene justice. I wish I could have captured the magical atmosphere I saw. I thought that maybe the wire fence takes away from the overall image, but didn't want to take it out. I think I will try this with a darker gold to see how I like it. Thank you for experimenting with this image. I love it when members take the time to make adjustments. It gives me a lot to think about, and often it is a big improvement. Hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving weekend. Best wishes, Linda Link to comment
ldavidson 4 Posted November 27, 2009 Trisha Jean-Angela, Thank you! She (I think, but not positive) really was a flirt. My husband had sliced apples in his pocket and gave her some. She wanted more and tried to cajole him into giving her the rest with long soulful looks, batting of eyelashes, and prancing around looking gorgeousl. Kaushik, Thanks for stopping by, it's good to hear from you. Best wishes, Linda Link to comment
