buck_forester 0 Posted September 23, 2002 This creek is many miles inside of Kings Canyon National Park. It would be difficult to get shots like this without a tripod, which is why I've been strapping one to my backpack lately. The extra weight is worth it... so I convince myself! This scene is right off the John Muir Trail, below Evolution Meadow and before the creek plunges into Goddard Canyon. It was raining and breezy when I took this shot, so waiting for the vegetation to be still with an extended shutter speed took a little patience! I used a Hoya Circular Polarizer to cut the glare off the water. Any comments and suggestions are appreciated. Thanks! Link to comment
ron_karpel 0 Posted September 25, 2002 This is a great photo. My only comment would be to try and bluer the waterfall a little bit (shallower DOF) so it will distract less from the flower. Link to comment
gunnarr 0 Posted September 30, 2002 Love the foreground. Most waterfall pics don't include enough depth. Good job! Link to comment
wespettus 0 Posted September 30, 2002 The bright foreground really sets this apart from the standard flowing water shot. Nice work Buck. Link to comment
linda_darmsted 0 Posted November 25, 2002 This photo really captures the beauty that nature offers us. I would recommend the viewing of the rest of the photos that have been captured. Buck the collection of photos you have provided us to view are stunning. Link to comment
