birteragland 1 Posted November 8, 2009 The DREAMTIME is the Aboriginee understanding of the world. How it was created and all its great stories.According to their belief all life as it is today---Human,Animal,Birds and Fish are part of one vast never changing network of relationships that can be traced to the spirit ancestors of their Dreamtime.Hence they dance the stories of their dreamtime.Aboriginees are treated very badly in Australia which is a very racist country. To most Australians land means something they own because they bought it with money(they forget they stole it from these people). To the Aboriginees land is something you cannot own or trade, land to them has a spiritual value. This is what they dance and chant about when they Dance of the Dreaming.Aboriginees have been on this earth longer than any other peoples and yet have still not received the respect they deserve. clivefox 1 Posted November 10, 2009 Birte, This is a fine shot indeed, capturing immense depth of culture among the aboriginee people. I do feel however your personal comments/feelings on how you think the aboriginals are treated here in Australia should be voiced in another forum not on PN. To make a statement that Australia is a racist country is most unfounded. I am a Brit living here. Lets keep PN a photographic site... Link to comment
