rblaser 0 Posted December 5, 2009 Really good use of DOF, and I like the color tones and high contrast as well. The highlights on the hair are nice. This is a great portrait. Link to comment

Guest Guest Posted December 6, 2009 Wiktor, She is a beautiful girl. You have focused well on her eyes. She has good eye contact with the camera (viewer) -- good expression. I love the overall feel to this photograph. The composition is very good -- as is the tone. The background is nicely out of focus. You have posed her very well. The backlight really allows her to stand out from the background -- well done. The girl framed by the darker tree and leaves in the background works very well. I may have had her turn her right hand a little so that more of the edge was showing -- rather than the flat of her hand. Just like a girl's body, seen at an angle to the camera is more thinning, feminine and graceful looking. I wish she had catch lights, but it is still good. Her hands and the bridge, on the right side, are a little hot. I would tone them down so they do not draw attention away from the girl's face. I am not a fan of anything (especially something large) in front of the subject to be out of focus. It draws attention away from the subject. Out of focus behind the subject allows the subject to stand out -- in front of the subject does not. Your name is not part of the photograph. It would be better placed on the mat. Nice shot, Mark Link to comment
