nicolerenee 0 Posted November 5, 2009 As this little lions Mamma, I LOVE this photo, but what do YOU think as the unrelated viewer? I wonder if a lack of foreground doesnt relieve this image of depth? Taken outside in the mid-late evening with my mom assisting me (trying to get the kid into possition and out of the frame before he ran off into a black berry bush or stuffed dirt in his mouth :) ) Would love to hear what you think. Thanks! Link to comment
golder 0 Posted December 1, 2009 Hi Nicole, this image is striking in it's surprise value, to have this cute little lion hidden in the undergrowth. I wonder if there was greater connection with the camera if it would have made a difference. Like you commented yourself about lack of foreground, if you had been on eye level with the subject you would have created greater depth to the shot and more excitement, like you're head shot of the same child where there is eye contact and a cheeky grin, great!! I think I would have been lower, cropped closer and gotten the eye engaged with the camera. But these are just a few observations, I'm sure the Mom loved it!! Really cute, and has captured the character of the child well, lovely vibrancy in the colour as well! Murray Link to comment
