pfranklin 0 Posted November 5, 2009 Very cool, like the muted colors and mixture of texture. Warm regards, Pamela Link to comment
jtipton 0 Posted November 8, 2009 Hi Christal- Great looking shot. The assumption is you used a portable source of light and shot this at a longer exposure in a low light environment. Great results and good for you experimenting with something different. This turned out very well. All my best-Jim Link to comment
Christal1664882414 0 Posted November 9, 2009 Thank you all for your visits/comments/ratings. I was really proud of this one because I worked so long to get it. I was experimenting with light painting using a flashlight.....so Jim, you're absolutely right. There was a bird bath/fountain that had some water, leaves and flowers in it, but it was pitch dark outside. So I decided this might be a good place to experiment. It was a manual exposure.....f/11; ISO 100; shutter open for 5.2 seconds during which I moved the flashlight around on the areas I wanted to highlight. I took several other subjects with the same technique, but I was most pleased with this one. I'm anxious to try some other subjects with this idea because I really like the effect. Link to comment
brillb 0 Posted November 21, 2009 Hi Christal...Love this image. I love light painting as well. I haven't mastered it yet. I looked at the raindrops on the window pane. Nice image. We complain about rainy days, but photographically it provides us with opportunities. Becky Link to comment
