Thank you very much, Mike! Our weather has been gloomy with poor light for these shots, so I've been doing some experimenting with flash. I only have the on camera flash. I'd like to get the SB900, I think, and try some commander mode, high sync, indirect stuff. But, there is only so much time in a day:-)

Looks good Richard.The only thing about flash is the background gets to dark for my taste.When I use flash I turn the power down just enough to fill the shadows.Still nice shot.

Thanks, Chris! I'm attracting these birds into a tamarack tree that has some very nice hanging branches with the fine yellow foliage. My hope is to get a nice shot in natural light of a small bird clinging to the hanging foliage with some nice smooth fall colors in the background...still trying, but the weather needs to cooperate!
