Interesting. I'm not sure it really is a portrait -- at least, for me. Maybe art, experimental or manipulation?

 

Good lighting, composition, contrast -- all that stuff. Love the specular highlights on her lips. Could use a backlight to help separate her hair and shoulders from the background.

Great idea. There is something very mesmerizing about this and I am drawn to the subject's eyes...just beautiful. Well done!!!

...but a tad freaky too:

...this is a case when an Idea dominate in the value of image itself;

image somehow 'asking' to romove those white hands - a contrast tooo

strong! and it creat a disbalance - the hands seem PSed and don't belong

to the origenal shot; but the idea could be a great step to the much better

This makes a tremendous statement regarding the human race as a single entity  and I commend you for having thought of it.  I gather from another comment you entered it under the portrait category.  As far as I am concerned you should have entered it under "fine art."  The categories here on P.N are about as artificial a thing that could be anyway.

I am a little confused by the lighting.  The highlights in the eyes show an umbrella left of center, yet much of the highlights on the skin look like the light was more central.  

In any case this is splendid.
