Older men and women will recognize the baseball analogy for necking in

the caption, from time when there was in mating (1) first base, (2)

second base, and so on. This young man appears to be stretching

propriety as he makes his own play in Kyiv, Ukraine. Your ratings and

critiques are invited and most welcome. If you rate harshly or very

critically, or just wish to state your views, please submit a helpful and

constructive comment, please share your photograpjic knowledge to

help improve my photography. Thanks! Enjoy! John (I smiled when I

walked away after taking this one) ;~)))

.... and a lovely home it appears to be !

I like the position of her arm it seems to imply a pushing away which adds to the universal dance which you have typified here. There is also something comfortable and relaxed about the postures, perhaps a bit too comfortable for the young ladies taste. You have presented a theme which we can all relate to and you've done so with such a sly wit that I cannot help but grin.

I do find myself wishing for a bit more sharpness overall however the softer focus does work well with the gentle curves of the young ladies legs.

Kissing couples always get special attention from me.

Perhaps there's a book in the future just of kissing couples, just as Elliott Erwitt has done photos of dogs; he has taken photos of dogs at every chance.

If there's a kiss nearby, sooner or later, my camera gets turned that direction for a quick capture, though I post few,and only those that are 'unusual' or taken 'unusually' for vantage, such as this revealing one.

I think she actually is covering his arm and concealing it, thereby encouraging his exploratory ventures, but that's my view, with slight telephoto, but not much), after all who wants to spoil their fun (in fact, it's almost impossible to 'spoil such fun' when the couples are so engaged, as here for they are so engrossed distraction is well nigh impossible.

I enjoy your views, as always, and always welcome your stopping by; please don't be a stranger.

I'll take your view into account, though this one is 'worked up' already in my mind, and unless there is demand for it from some other source (book, gallery) it may not get another workup. I generally do not 'add grain/digital noise' to a capture, however that may be seen to 'help' it,as I'm a photoshop minimalist (and keep my PS skills to a minimum to ensure that I don't become a manipulationist instead of a photographer. I can do minimal things and make things better but still do not do 'layers' though I understand the concept and need to learn, if you can imagine that.

I really need to learn the 'transform' tool to straighten out lines and maybe use the available software to compensate for pincushion and barrel distortion in various lens designs I own, more than I need to do other things, but sometimes I have 'straight lines' that end up curved, and thus not helping a photo.

My priorities are far different from some, hunh?

I'm a shooter, not a printer. I haven't printed one photo since college days though if I had a place to do it and INK were free, I'd be trying (plus a companion to work with as printing, like digital darkroom, is very lonely work, often done in lonely apartments and hotel rooms past midnight even as the sun rises (when I should be renewing to shoot more.)

I shot another 'world class' photo today -- one of my all time best, and I'm going to stay up (despite no sleep in two days) to 'work it up', I' so enthused.

Boy, does it tell a story.

And it was literally one of the first photos I took today, and only the result of skill and experience as anyone walking by I am sure never would have seen the potential.

In radio or broadcasting, that's called 'the tease'.

Stay tuned, more to come.

Thanks Joerg (again) for contributing.

I think this guy is extraordinarily daring, for my view, even if you don't .

And she's egging him on, with her arm inside his jacket.

In other countries people would be shouting 'get a room' but rooms and flats here are small and crowded often.

So, here as in Russia, public displays of affection are common, which makes 'street photography' all that much more rewarding.

This is a scene I have not seen before but I've seen all sorts of couples 'in heat' on this particular street designed just for such activity, I think, by architects who mourned WWII's vast male dead, and vowed to return the population to normal by encouraging such rendezvous in a land of scant housing.

My best to you.

Thanks.

If you look carefully, there is a piece of clothing - her skirt - between his hand and her leg, wonderful leg, by the way! That's why I think he's not so daring as he could be!

PS I have recently been rebuffed by somebody I critiqued, with the words "When your work is worth seeing contribute critics". Nice, isn't it?

Should I delete all my photos from this site, except those - only 6/7 - which pass my strict judgement?

F*** anybody who thinks that you must be Michelangelo to criticize the works of Michelangelo.

First of all, you must be Michelangelo, have lived when he did, be attracted to young 'Davids', and so forth, then know intimately the world of sculpture, including chisels, and maybe abrasives, and mechanics of moving very large pieces of stone which are extraordinarily heavy.

Does your critic suggest that anyone criticizing Michelangelo's work be so skilled (and go back in time to be a Michelangelo contemporary) to understand and criticize Michelangelo's work, and what about that critic's work equalling that of Michelangelo. There was no peer, so who could criticize?

By that token there would be no critics.

Many photographers are totally lacking in fund of words or mode of expression with which you are gifted, so F*** anyone who thinks your work must be their equal or better in order for you to critique them. You have shown your mettle over time and that's it.

I get the part now about the cloth, and thanks for pointing it out, though it is precious little in my estimation . . . .

Thanks.

And F*** again those who criticize you.

Even if they are a friend of mine otherwise.

John, Can you define "F***" ? Do you mean that if I criticize Luca's work I will get F***ed? (I hope so!) Is this young man in the photo trying to get F***ed? In Jerusalem it has been pouring rain non-stop for two days. If I have to go food shopping am I F***ed. How do you pronounce F,asterisk, asterisk, asterisk? What is the difference between F*** and Fuck?.....P.S. Maybe the young man is just warming his hand. P.P.S. Hey!, what is she doing with her hand? Interesting photo. I wish them all the best. May their dreams come true.

I do not know what is the meaning of rhetorical and too lazy to look it up... Is it bad (meaning negative)? I was just having some fun. I will delete if you prefer

(If you post here, don't delete; think first before posting, then let it be, please -- nothing has changed since I told you that over one year ago. In any case, copies of everything you post on the Internet are kept in numerous places, deletion or not, on servers between you and PN, between PN and me, by web archive computers, and occasionally me.)
