katzpjs 50 Posted May 5, 2007 Why so soft in the image? I'm thinking a sharp image to show the details would be better. But then, I love to look at old cars... Link to comment
lesa jones 0 Posted May 5, 2007 Hey Shawn....yes you are an old car "junkie" :)) Soft for this, because the more I looked at it the more interesting the light play and colors than the car itself. In addition, no spectacular landscape or sky, thus envisioned an image with a surreal-ness and lore of yester year like a dream. Kinda Crazy? Don't worry, I have got a couple more of this car that are "sharper". I appreciate your input because you are so talented with this subject matter, thanks so much.....LJ Link to comment
Emmanuel Enyinwa 0 Posted May 5, 2007 Yeah, your explanation works, Lesa. There is no one way to "see" an image. To you, this is like a soft old black and white picture of grandpa and grandma, and not a rusting relic out to pasture. Nice effects. Link to comment
janusz taras 0 Posted May 6, 2007 Perfect soft light shot.Nostalgic color.Time retro.....6/6.Cordial regards.Janusz. Link to comment
fergi 0 Posted May 6, 2007 Lesa- I like the soft effect for this shot, too. If it had been in a junkyard, maybe a sharp focus would be appropriate but here this works. Funny how we interpret things; I can envision the hood lifted on the left side and a little garden growing under the hood. Maybe you could see about that and then shoot the flowers that grow. Just a thought. When do you actually graduate and obtain your MBA? Mid-month? End? Let us know. fergi Link to comment

mariolupo 0 Posted May 11, 2007 Well done Lesa, I enjoyed the photo and the soft focus effect. Looks like a nice Polaroid image transfer. All the best wishes from Australia Link to comment
j.k._york 0 Posted May 11, 2007 and remember rust never sleeps. looks like a project car for "pimp my ride". can you picture it with some chrome 20" rims and 1,000,000 watt stereo? i like the softness. you are right, the background isn't doing anything for you so the effect works for you. i am a rusted hulk junky myself. good find. regards, J.K. laurent_jaussi 0 Posted May 15, 2007 I like the colors (essentially two main colors) and softness Lesa...the smooth light...I like it as is but I wonder how it would be with a bit more space front and left...thanks for sharing. Link to comment
dave holmes 0 Posted May 28, 2007 Very well done. I like the mottled lighting, works well. Link to comment
nr 0 Posted June 27, 2007 As the title "RUSTING AWAY" goes, the soft image gives an impression that the car is slowly disintergrating....With a sharp image the apt title would have been "RUSTING" Link to comment
