aeaster 0 Posted January 4, 2007 Ruud, my only remark is that I think that you should have tried this in a more traditional Black & White. Other than my natural bias in favor of monchrome for all photography in general; I feel that such a stark portrayal of Death is best shown without color. Life is in color, Death is in black. Life is fugitive, Death is the only permanance in the universe. The composition could not be better. Link to comment
kconnor72 0 Posted January 4, 2007 I have to agree with Andre. The use of B&W would really capture the feeling of death. Maybe a tad sharper as well, but otherwise great composition. Link to comment
magic_realism 0 Posted January 4, 2007 sad find but good shot. no problem with colour for me. Link to comment
jan_piller 0 Posted January 4, 2007 I agree, the b/w might be a good mood for this but I also like the pink walkway, a reminder that "life" does go on! I'ld love it if you would have a look at my own "death" posting today. It's not rating well but nobody says "why". Thanks! Link to comment
street photography karina 0 Posted January 4, 2007 I quite like the pink colour, maybe converting to b&w would take away the details. Should be tried out. Link to comment

olafdevries 0 Posted January 5, 2007 Ruud.., my first reaction..: there's something with the angle.. So I turned the pic to the right, did crop (top and right) 4mm. and.. Now I'm very proud of the first vertical (!) "Ruud Albers"! Think the posture and expression of the bird stronger and nicer. (legs! bill!) The black against the pink too. (Not for sale, free for you!):) Olaf (haha..zou me niet verbazen als ie verticaal genomen is..) Link to comment
tecrif 0 Posted January 5, 2007 Good shot, despite the sadness of the subject. I think that leaving the photo color instead of converting it to B&W added even more emotion to the image. Congrats, Cristi Link to comment
