Wayne Melia 5,976 Posted September 12, 2002 Congrats. Filling the frame lets eye of the animal play a signifigant role in this excellent capture. The planted leverage foot and leg showing the cowboy's form and the bent neck of the steer convey the struggle. Link to comment
william_connell 0 Posted September 15, 2002 Again, asome shot of a very hard to shoot sport, I love that you can see th whites of the steers eyes. Link to comment
walter_strong2 0 Posted September 15, 2002 Oh, I just can't get enough closely cropped action scenes. Nice work indeed. Link to comment
orpheus 0 Posted September 15, 2002 Wow....nice action-stopper...esp. w/ the expression on the animal...too bad the angle couldn't get the expresssion on the man's face too... Link to comment
jsthorne 0 Posted September 15, 2002 Great camera, great lens, great picture. I love it Link to comment
gk photography 0 Posted September 16, 2002 This is my favorite in the folder. Getting good rodeo photos depends so very much on having an uncluttered background, and you've done a great job here. Thanks for sharing! Link to comment
mg 0 Posted September 25, 2002 Excellent timing here, for sure. Congrats on that. But aesthetics are just Ok to me, not really outstanding. Simply because this happened in the shade, which doesn't give the image the extra punch in colors and contrast, I'm affraid. As good as it could get that day - that's photography. There are good days with good light, and not so good days with not so good light. :-) Regards. Link to comment
fred_vnoucek 0 Posted October 4, 2002 for sure one of the best action shots I've ever noticed. extrem good focus and color. difficult shot, perfect done! that's action Photographie! Link to comment
maureclaire 0 Posted June 6, 2003 glorifying cruelty to animals in the guise of sport, just doesn't do it for me ! Link to comment
fotoman 0 Posted June 9, 2003 I'm just recording the moment, by doing so I neither agree nor "glorify" the action, just capture it as I see it through the lense. Daren Link to comment
maureclaire 0 Posted June 9, 2003 If you had come across the scene of an accident, and taken a picture, that would be one thing... but, this was a planned event; and, by buying a ticket,in order to take photos, you support that plan- cruelty to animals for the purpose of entertainment. fotoman 0 Posted June 15, 2003 I love sports photos. As I didn't buy / purchase a tickect for this event, and was merly covering it to broaden my experience, as a sports photographer, I disagree as well. I know more support the cruelty to animals than someone photographing an Indy car race, whos major sponsor is a leading tabaco company. Thanks for looking at my work either way. Daren Link to comment
joe_teceno 0 Posted November 18, 2003 Fantastic! The action of the dirt flying all over the place, the eyeball of the bull, and the color of the cowboy's cloths make this shot for me. Link to comment
