jan_piller 0 Posted February 1, 2007 This is grade A!! This is a superb capture!! Did you train him to do that? Wow!! This needs to be framed, hung on a wall, turned into greeting cards, posters, advertising... can you tell I like this very much? Link to comment
katzpjs 50 Posted January 13, 2008 I think someone is keeping a very close eye on you, just in case you are up to trouble. This is a great shot and you should be proud of it. Link to comment

katzpjs 50 Posted January 19, 2008 So are you surprised or disappointed or neither by the ratings? Anytime I get a range from Average to Excellent I'm quite pleased with the results. I really don't even mind getting 3/3s because I'm envisioning that the raters are "tossing their cookies" while they are doing the rating and that makes me happy. Irregardless of the attention, or lack thereof, this is getting it is still a very good crow image. I have some nice antique crow images in my collection and they are among my favorites. In my opinion the only thing to mark you down on in this image is that there is no room above the tail feathers. A bit more room around the bird on top would elevate this to sevens level for me. janisok 0 Posted January 20, 2008 OK Shawn, forget what I said. And, I will not forget what you said....except for the thing about the feathers! I really agree about that also, but I don't think it ruins the shot, maybe even a little anchor....holding on to the frame. I wonder if that can be a technique? Link to comment
janisok 0 Posted January 20, 2008 The guy deleted his remark! Oh Lord, I ran someone off. Sorry about that. You are entitled to your opinion.J Link to comment
susan stone 0 Posted January 22, 2008 What a "Glare", I can see his arrogance in the glint of that beady eye. These birds fascinate me, they're the "villians" of the bird world. I love the B&W and all the gritty detail you've captured. I too would like it if all the tail feathers were in this but I know it's hard to get it all in the frame when shooting animals, sometimes you've only got a split second to fire the shutter. I like the black frame only it's a bit big and over powers the bird a bit, I think. Link to comment
tammysphotos 0 Posted February 1, 2008 wow, janis, what a capture. and, what a look! i believe the bird is giving you the old evil, hairy eyeball! the clarity is exceptional and your conversion is awesome. Link to comment
